Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Opportunity

A well-established general practice is in search of a registered dental hygienist whose main focus is patient care. The ideal hygienist will be seasoned and able to understand the daily routine and schedule of an office and do what it takes to ensure that the patients are well taken care of on time.

Dental hygienist job responsibilities include promoting dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. The hygienist will prepare treatment rooms, provide information to patients, maintain instrumentation, and complete dental prophylaxis. They will also detect disease, maintain patient appearance, educate patients, document services, maintain patient confidence, ensure operation of dental equipment, and maintain dental supplies inventory.

Qualifications/skills include the use of dental technology, dental health maintenance, infection control, health promotion and maintenance, bedside manner, creating a safe, effective environment, listening, teamwork, administering medication, thoroughness, self-development.

Office hours are Monday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Tuesday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Wednesday: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree preferred, state-registered dental hygienist, and 1+ years in a dental office. Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vacation pay, holiday pay, bonus structure, and 401K.
