El Segundo, CA - HYBRID (3 days in office)

Contract duration:
Initial term through August, with the possibility of extension. Can be extended up to a maximum of 2 years, in 6-month increments.

Packaging Designer - 5+ Years of Experience. Strong technical packaging design expertise combined with conceptual/creative design capabilities.

• Experience with 3D design and modelling software
• Proficiency in Rhino, Solid Works, and Cinema 4D
• Hands-on 3D design and visualization experience
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Portfolio is a must.

• Beauty industry (highly preferred)
• Consumer products such as Toys, Food, or Beverage industries are also a plus.

• 1 round and after 1 assessment that including presentation or a run through the portfolio.

• Reporting in to Director, Packaging
• Responsible for concepting, designing, and developing packaging and component solutions for a luxury beauty brand, taking them from sketches and materials through production-ready artwork
• Leading creative collaboration with Marketing, Product Development, and cross-functional teams to ensure designs are executable and aligned with brand needs
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Create production ready artwork for primary and secondary packaging with regard to established brand packaging charter
• Manage all creative packaging assets and communication, organize and maintain libraries of assets and design files, including establishing appropriate naming convention for files for storage and archiving including fonts, icons, images, templates, tutorials, etc.
• Stay up to date on luxury beauty industry trends by conducting research and competitive analysis, and contribute to the development of fresh content ideas and strategic initiatives that support innovation and creative excellence
• Work closely with vendors and production partners to refine designs and ensure luxury quality and feasibility

Education/Experience/ Licenses or Certificates

• Degree in Graphic Design and/or equivalent experience will be considered
• Beauty and/or luxury industry experience preferred
• Experience with market research and product placement advertising
• Proven experience working as a packaging designer
• Experience in web development, digital marketing, and project management tools
• Ability to work within an established brand guideline

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• + Figma
• AI experience and working knowledge
• Expert Mac/System software, basic Mac/PC compatibility troubleshooting
• Knowledge of PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
