Position Title: Hematology/Oncology Physician

The Hematology/Oncology Physician will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to veteran patients in an outpatient and inpatient setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnosing and treating blood disorders and cancers.
• Administering chemotherapy and other oncologic therapies.
• Participating in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Participating in clinical research and medical education activities.
• Performing bone marrow biopsies and other relevant procedures.

Basic Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Completed residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.

Preferred Experience:

• Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Prior experience working with veterans is highly desirable.
