This 25-bed hospital operates as a Level III trauma center, providing general surgery and trauma surgical services across inpatient and emergency room settings. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and the resources necessary to support call-based surgical coverage on an on-site basis. Clinical operations are structured to ensure quality surgical care delivery for the patient population served.

California offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of entertainment, outdoor, and cultural attractions. The state features film and animation exhibitions, live music venues, professional sports, coastal drives, wildlife tours, aquariums, and outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. Clinicians will find diverse options for both urban entertainment and nature-based experiences throughout the region during time away from clinical responsibilities.

Clinicians will provide 24-hour call coverage for general surgery and trauma services across inpatient and emergency room settings at an on-site Level III trauma center in California, beginning in October on an ongoing basis. Primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive ED call coverage, performing full general surgery and trauma procedures, and completing endoscopic procedures; endoscopic scope capability is required for this assignment.

Full General Surgery and Trauma privileges are required, and board certification in General Surgery is negotiable. Call coverage is a required component of this locum tenens assignment.
