Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks a motivated Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician to join their rural residency program in Jackson, CA. This opportunity allows clinicians to thrive in an academic environment, teach the next generation of physicians, and provide vital care to a medically challenging rural community. Providers will enjoy a collaborative practice setting working alongside Sacramento and Davis faculty while experiencing Northern California's natural beauty.

- Diverse patient population with significant medical and social challenges
- Work closely with Sacramento and Davis Faculty
- Located in a lovely small community in a country setting with beautiful lakes, vineyards, and rolling hills
Responsibilities
- Maintain active clinical skills and provide direct patient care to model appropriate practice for residents
- Teach, supervise, and evaluate residents using ACGME competency based assessment frameworks
- Participate in curriculum development, resident assessment, and program evaluation, contributing to continuous program improvement
Compensation
- Salary range: $311,000/Yr.
- $373,200/Yr. - Core faculty rate: $171/hr (up to 0.7 FTE available)
- 2-year income guarantee with shareholder track
- Productivity bonus ($320,000+ earning potential in the first year)
- Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
- Relocation assistance up to $20,000
- Resident stipend up to $3,000 per month
- Forgivable loan up to $200,000

Shift & Schedule
- 0.5-0.7 FTE Faculty/Teaching + 0.3-0.5 FTE Clinical (flexible and negotiable)
- Customizable schedule and appointment slots
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Must be qualified and appropriately credentialed physicians capable of providing clinical care and resident education
- Passion for teaching, curriculum involvement, and faculty development
- Inpatient experience is a plus
- OB optional, but welcomed
- Must want to do a variety of procedures (preferred)
