District 27 is looking for a motivated, energetic, and student-centered educator to serve as a behavior coach for our three buildings. Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community, each made up of approximately 1300 students spread across three schools. As this position serves all three District 27 schools, interschool travel will be required, and mileage will be reimbursed for this travel.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred, in special education, social work, or a field of study related to social-emotional learning and behavior support
- Current and Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
- Specialized training and demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention or a similar de-escalation model
- Expertise in the areas of behavior, social and emotional regulation, and PBIS framework
- General knowledge of best practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative problem-solving ability

Salary and benefits for this position are covered by the District 27 Negotiated Agreement between the Board of Education and the Teachers Association. Salary will be determined based on experience and level of education. Multiple medical benefit plans are available to employees and are considered exemplary compared to those of other districts.
