Idyllwild Bible Church is seeking a Lead Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, biblical teaching, and pastoral care to a healthy, Bible-centered congregation in a Southern California mountain community.

Idyllwild Bible Church is a conservative, non-denominational church committed to:

• The authority and sufficiency of Scripture
• Careful, verse-by-verse biblical teaching
• Elder-led governance
• The spiritual growth and maturity of believers

We are a multi-generational congregation of approximately 130 people across two Sunday services. Our church family values thoughtful teaching, doctrinal clarity, and meaningful relationships.

Our leadership includes active elders and an Associate Pastor who faithfully serves the body. We are stable, unified, and ready for pastoral leadership that aligns with our convictions and culture.

The Lead Pastor will serve as:

• Spiritual Leader
  • Provide overall spiritual direction and leadership in collaboration with the elders.
• Primary Teaching Pastor
  • Deliver consistent, biblically faithful preaching that reflects our commitment to expositional teaching.
• Shepherd
  • Offer pastoral care, counseling, visitation, and relational leadership within a close-knit church body.
• Team Leader
  • Work alongside and oversee staff, fostering unity, clarity, and healthy ministry rhythms.

This is a full-time, on-site role where engaged, visible leadership within the life of the church is essential.

• Formal theological training (MDiv or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
• We are seeking a pastor who believes long-term faithfulness, careful teaching, and steady leadership build healthy churches.

• Idyllwild is a mountain community in the San Jacinto range of Southern California. Known for its natural beauty and artistic culture, it offers a distinctive environment for both life and ministry.
• This is a setting where relationships are visible and pastoral leadership carries meaningful influence.

Salary range: $80,000–$90,000
