ECE Para educator - 8 hrs/day (Preschool-Vineland/PC#252265)
Position Summary: Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre‑school aged children in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre‑kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play‑oriented curriculum.
Work Year: 12 Months
Employee Type: Full‑Time
Salary: $19.04 - $25.18 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on relevant experience.
Location: Vineland
Hours: 8 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
High School diploma and 6 college units of Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other related field with emphasis on infant to pre‑school age children. Requires successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment. One year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting is preferred.
Licenses and CertificationsMay require a valid driver’s license. CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement.
Required Documents- Copy of Transcript (Transcripts Showing 6 ECE Units)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (Requires a valid First-Aid card and CPR certificate)
- Proof of HS Graduation - High School Diploma or High School Transcripts or equivalent (ex: GED)
- NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Para educator Proficiency Exam)
- Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)
