Instructional Assistant - Acton, CA

As a Paraprofessional on contract, you will actively assist in classroom activities and provide personalized attention to students, ensuring they feel encouraged and equipped to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or similar role in educational settings
• Ability to build rapport with students and staff from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for supporting student growth
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, reinforcing learning concepts
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Support students with special needs, adapting materials and classroom strategies as needed
• Monitor student progress and actively communicate observations to teaching staff
• Help with classroom management to ensure an orderly environment
• Participate in training and collaborate with the education team to deliver the best support possible
