As a middle school Moderate to Severe special education teacher, you will make a real difference in the lives of students, working closely with both colleagues and families.
Key Qualifications- Hold an active California Special Education Teaching Credential with Moderate to Severe Authorization (or eligible for one)
- Previous experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities, preferably in a middle school setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to effectively collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the diverse needs of middle school students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with state and federal guidelines
- Collect data and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among students, parents, and multidisciplinary team members
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives to enhance student outcomes

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34.
