Youth Resilience Specialist (Full-Time)

Salary Range: $20.35 To $28.40 Hourly
DEPARTMENT: Mom & Dad Project
SHIFT: 8 Hour Shifts, 40hrs./week
POSITION SUMMARYUnder the general guidance of The Mom & Dad Project Behavioral Health Team, the Youth Resilience Specialist supports middle school and high school students through behavioral health, prevention, and wellness programming. This position assists with youth groups, workshops, social-emotional learning activities, and school-based events focused on building resilience, coping skills, positive peer relationships, and emotional wellness. The Youth Resilience Specialist works collaboratively with behavioral health staff, school personnel, and community partners to provide mentorship, youth engagement, outreach, and connection to supportive resources in a safe and trauma-informed environment.
ESSENTIALDUTIES
- Exhibit professionalism when interacting with students, families, school personnel, community partners, and staff members
- Assist the Behavioral Health Team with facilitation of youth behavioral health, prevention, and wellness groups at middle school and high school
- Support workshops, classroom presentations, outreach activities, and youth engagement events focused on resilience and emotional wellness
- Build positive and supportive relationships with youth through mentorship, encouragement, and trauma-informed interactions
- Assist with coordination of program activities, student participation, sign-ins, and required documentation
- Provide resource linkage and referrals for students and families as appropriate
- Support behavioral health staff with preparation of materials, scheduling, and program implementation
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in compliance with organizational and program requirements
- Collaborate with school staff, community partners, and The Mom & Dad Project team to support youth success and well-being
- Assist with outreach and prevention efforts that promote positive coping skills, leadership, and healthy decision-making among youth
- All other duties or responsibilities as assigned
- BLS Certification within 3 months of hire
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, or related field
- N/A
- 1 year experience in the non-profit field
- 1 year experience working with middle/high school youth
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively with providers and other members of the healthcare team
- Must be able to withstand stressful situations
