This contract opportunity offers a dynamic role for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to make a difference over the  school year. Located in a welcoming community, this role provides full-time hours (37.5 per week) working with students who benefit from tailored instructional support and care.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid teaching credential in Special Education or eligibility for California licensure
• Experience with self-contained classrooms or Moderate to Severe SDC populations preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, individualized instruction, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students' individual needs and IEP goals
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to support student growth
• Manage classroom routines and implement behavioral supports as necessary
• Monitor, document, and communicate student progress to stakeholders
• Foster a respectful, safe, and nurturing classroom culture
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as required
