About The Role
Make a meaningful impact behind the scenes at Capital City College. The Learning Resource Centre Officer supports and drives key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London. This full‑time, term‑time role works 40 weeks per year.
Key responsibilities- Deliver an expert, innovative, agile and modern Learning Resource Centre service that supports students to develop their skills and achieve their full potential.
- Plan and run student‑centred events and proactively support learners present in the Learning Resource Centres.
- Ensure learners have access to necessary academic resources, including books, magazines, academic journals and specialist materials.
- Collaborate with curriculum colleagues to integrate Learning Resource Centre activities into subject‑area programmes and tailor the offer to specific needs.
- Engage learners in the Learning Resource Centre setting with activities that support skill development and enrich their learning experience.
You will join a friendly, professional team committed to delivering high‑quality support across the college. Working together, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
About You- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Confidence working with systems and processes, including experience in library automated and management systems (desired).
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience in a similar customer service/student support–based role is desirable.
- A commitment to making a positive contribution to the college community.
