Desired Qualifications- Proficiency in oral and written Arabic
- Ability to communicate in English
- New York State Teaching Certification (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or Languages
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate cultural competency
- Plan and deliver Arabic language and literacy instruction and assessment
- Provide support to multilingual students under the general direction of a certified teacher
- Support staff with information about students' language and cultural backgrounds to assist planning
- Communicate and partner with families and staff
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
All new employees must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment through the NYSED before employment begins.
