Special Education Teacher, Mild/Moderate
Under the direction of the Special Education Director and school principal, the Special Education Teacher, Mild/Moderate will provide instruction, assessment and program planning for special education students with a primary disability of autism, moderate to severe mental retardation, multiple disabilities, and emotional disturbance; monitor and evaluate student progress and behavior; research, obtain and provide instructional materials for special education services; serve as an informational resource for students, parents, District personnel and community organizations;
work within a pull out Learning Center environment or within a self-contained classroom. This teaching position to serve at our Mariposa Elementary School site for RSP (Mild/Moderate) services.
This position is part of the Certificated Teacher Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience and education on the Certificated Teacher Unit Employee Salary schedule. PLEASE NOTE THE 2026-27 SALARY SCHEDULE IS PENDING - SALARY IS CURRENTLY BASED ON THE 2025-26 SALARY SCHEDULE. A full job description is attached.
