Qualifications:

Instructional Assistant IIIs support our severe/emotionally disturbed students. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties. Severe/Emotionally Disturbed - working with students who have a Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.

Students designated as an emotionally disturbed (ED) class or an autism class or assigned to a Behaviorist to assist individual students. Experience working with groups of children; experience working with impaired children or adults highly desirable; coursework in child development highly desirable. Materials Required/Requirements:
Must pre-qualify by attaching your High School Diploma or equivalent and one document [A or B] from the following list: [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam** - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted. (To request a digital test, please complete the Google Form here:
Pre-Employment Test OR [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
** Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background. Applications submitted without the required test results will not be considered.
