We currently have multiple Special Education Instructional Assistant vacancies available for the 2026–2027 school year. These are full-time, 10-month positions that follow the school calendar, running from August through June. The schedule consists of a seven-hour shift each school day, Monday through Friday, during regular school hours. Position assignments and locations will be determined based on the needs of students and program requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist in the educational, behavioral, and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the special education teacher.
- Support students with academic, organizational, and behavioral needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress as directed.
- Provide support to individual students inside and outside the classroom to promote full participation in school activities.
- Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records and documentation.
- Collect academic and behavioral data and complete observations as required.
- Communicate and interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Provide assistance with student personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and other self‑care tasks as required.
- Support the de‑escalation of students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges, as trained and directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Associates Degree, 48 credits beyond a High School Diploma, or Completion of the District's Highly Qualified IA Program
Hourly Rate$24.46 per hour
