Registered Nurse (RN) – Epic Training & Instructional Design

Purpose:

Use clinical nursing expertise and Epic EHR knowledge to create effective training materials, improve user adoption, and support clinical staff education.

• Act as an SME for Epic workflows (Ambulatory, Inpatient, ASAP, etc.).
• Develop training content: eLearning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and workflow guides.
• Translate complex clinical/technical processes into easy-to-understand learning materials.
• Support Epic training delivery and staff onboarding.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and improve learning programs.
• Collaborate with clinical, IT, and training teams on workflow changes and system updates.
• Identify training gaps and support change management initiatives.

• Active RN license.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Hands-on Epic EHR experience.
• Experience creating training materials or supporting education programs.

• Background in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or Clinical Education.
• Experience with eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.).
• Epic trainer, super user, credentialed trainer, or Epic certification.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Stakeholder collaboration and problem-solving.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
