STEM Elective Teacher/Science

We are seeking a hands-on, engaging STEM Elective Teacher/Science to teach grades 6-8. This role focuses on creating project-based learning experiences that build curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills through science, technology, engineering, and math. CalSTRS Health, Vision and Dental $3,000 starting bonus

Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach engaging, hands-on STEM electives for 6–8 students
• Design project-based lessons that promote critical thinking and collaboration
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English Language Learners
• Build a positive, structured classroom culture
• Assess student learning and provide feedback
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with families
• Support school events such as STEM fairs or exhibitions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required (STEM or education preferred)
• Teaching credential (or working toward one) preferred
• Experience with elementary and/or middle school students
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
• Passion for hands-on, student-centered learning
