Horizon Science Academy Twin Cities is looking for a Building Substitute willing to join our team immediately to educate our students. This is a full-time position. Candidates will report to Twin Cities every school day and will assist or substitute in classrooms as needed. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly in different circumstances is a must. • Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians and coworkers.
• Effectively deliver lessons prepared by classroom teachers or administration.
• Build rapport with students while maintaining appropriate student behavior.
• Keep the classroom environment organized, attractive and safe.
• Interact frequently and respectfully with students.
• Facilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student needs or concerns.
• Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate with them to improve instructional and assessment practices.

Certification/License:
Minnesota State Certification as an Elementary Teacher.

Education:

Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Master's Degree in related area preferred.

Experience:

Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.
