21st Community Learning CENTER Afterschool Program Coordinator

Applications will be accepted beginning Thursday, July 2, 2026 12:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time).

Responsible for leadership in planning and delivery of services to assigned after school and community education programs.

• Interface with partners and the Program Evaluator as liaison with school system and each individual program to facilitate seamless service delivery.
• Coordinate academic, recreational and community activities with each site manager, including site schedules/activities, field trips, parent meetings, open houses and partner activities.
• Coordinate review of the benchmarks to determine project success and keep site staff updated on progress made and needs of program.
• Assist in the evaluation component by overseeing the timely collection of evaluation data as defined by the independent evaluator and other stakeholders.
• Assist with the hiring of site staff and evaluating of site staff annually.
• Ensure timely submission of appropriate payroll documentation as published annually by the Accounting department.
• Assist with all staff and volunteer training sessions.
• Attend all after school program meetings and events.
• Submit required documentation and requests as requested by the Director.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director.

• Profound concern for the educational achievement of children and a high understanding of how children and adults learn.
• High degree of leadership ability and/or supervisory experience.
• Computer and associated technology skills.
• Experience in project development, management and implementation.
• Experience working with and knowledge of community resources.

• Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or a related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in public education, non‑profit management or social work.
• Classroom and leadership experience preferred.

Tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20–50 pounds).
