Support Young Learners - Teacher Associate (TK) position available.
Position is at our Buckeye Union Mandarin Immersion Charter School located on the Oak Meadow Elementary School campus in El Dorado Hills.
Part-time position:
Work hours are 7:40 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. (3.5 hours per day) during the school year. (Wednesday work hours are 7:40 a.m. to 10:25 a.m.
- 2.75 hours per day)
Hourly starting rate: $21.74 - $23.97

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Teacher Associate to support our transitional kindergarten students. This role is fundamental in facilitating a positive and engaging classroom experience, fostering each child s academic and social development.
Role Overview
The School Teacher Associate will work closely with the lead teacher to support classroom activities and individualized instruction. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson plans, providing one-on-one or small group support, and managing classroom behavior. This position is vital to ensuring that our kindergarten students receive the personalized attention they need to thrive.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing lesson activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to support students learning needs
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Prepare and organize instructional materials and classroom resources
- Monitor and document student progress and communicate any challenges or achievements to the lead teacher
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
- Assist with classroom setup and cleanup, ensuring a tidy and stimulating environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Two years of college or 48 units is required; additional coursework in early childhood education is a plus
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting young learners
- Basic understanding of child development and early education principles
