LOCATION:

Downieville Elementary School, Downieville, CA, for Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District, Sierra County. School serves grades TK/8 with an average enrollment of 20 students. Applicant must appreciate a rural community environment. SALARY:
Up to $84,130 per year beginning salary. Maximum fifteen years credit for teaching experience may be granted for initial placement on the salary schedule BENEFITS:
Generous health insurance benefits ($17,536 annual employer contribution), CalSTRS retirement; sick leave ASSIGNMENT:
Beginning August 2026. Full time, 182 day work year, traditional school calendar August-June

DESCRIPTION:

Under direct supervision of the school site administrator, a credentialed teacher will provide an educational program for pupils in a self-contained multi level classroom school environment. The employee will provide an educational environment that encourages productive, responsible citizens and is accountable for the safety and welfare of all students.

Qualifications:

Possession of or qualify for a valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. The District is agreeable to work with personnel in securing appropriate credential
• Appropriate English Language Learner (CLAD-BCLAD) authorization
