Special Education Teacher in Kelseyville, CA

This position focuses on serving middle schoolers (6th-8th grade) in a self-contained special day class (SDC) setting, with an emphasis on English and Math instruction. You'll have the chance to make a significant impact on your students' educational journeys as you guide and inspire a caseload of 20 learners throughout the school year.

• Current and active California mild/moderate special education teaching credential (required)
• Experience working with middle school students in a self-contained special day class (SDC), especially in English and Math
• Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff
• Ability to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Effective classroom management and a nurturing, student-centered approach

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to middle school students across English and Math curriculum
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals for each student
• Collaborate with families, administration, and specialized staff to support student success
• Adapt instructional methods and materials to suit a variety of learning needs and styles
• Maintain accurate records, attend meetings, and comply with all state and federal requirements

This is a full-time contract position for the  school year (August 31, 2026 – June 16, 2027). The role offers competitive compensation between $40 and $55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Only one position is available.
