Job DescriptionResponsible for providing and implementing daily lesson plans according to the district’s requirements. Manages the classroom environment, provides activities, materials, and promotes student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Minimum QualificationsEducation/Certification:
High School diploma or GED (Recognized by the Texas Education Agency or Regional Accrediting Agency)
Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non‑refundable fee (approximately $50) paid by employee.

- Follows teacher plans and presents information and instruction to help students learn the subject matter and skills.
- Maintains instruction that is compatible with the school and district curriculum goals.
- Manages student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Be a positive role model for students, support the mission of the District.
- Interacts effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.
- Daily flexibility to changeover to different assignments as dictated by campus administration and school needs.
- Corrects unsafe conditions in work area that could cause an accident and informs campus principal of any conditions that are not correctable immediately.
- Complies with District policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
- Complies with the standards of conduct set out in Board Policy DH (Legal) and (Local) and with any other policies, regulations, and guidelines that impose duties, requirements, and standards.
Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, teacher resource materials and equipment, printer, copier, and other equipment applicable to the position.

- Works with frequent interruptions.
- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
- Occasional light lifting and carrying (15‑44 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment.
- District wide travel.
- Frequent exposure to temperature extremes (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise, low or intense illumination, vibration.
- Occasional exposure to biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, etc.), work outside, work around moving objects or vehicles, work on uneven surfaces.

Salary$130 to $150 Daily Rate
