Middle School Math Teacher

The Middle School Math Teacher provides high-quality, standards-based mathematics instruction that challenges students to think critically, solve real-world problems, and develop confidence as learners. The successful candidate fosters a positive classroom culture where every student is supported academically, socially, and emotionally while collaborating with colleagues and families to promote student success.

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of middle school students.
• Develop rigorous lessons that incorporate best instructional practices, technology, and real-world applications.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive student behavior and engagement.
• Utilize effective questioning techniques and collaborative learning experiences to promote critical thinking and mathematical reasoning.
• Build strong partnerships with students, families, and colleagues through regular communication and collaboration.
• Reflect on instructional practices and participate in ongoing professional learning to continuously improve student outcomes.

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a middle school mathematics endorsement.
• Strong understanding of Illinois Learning Standards and effective mathematics instructional practices.
• Ability to analyze student data to inform instruction and improve achievement.
• Experience integrating technology, including Google Workspace for Education, into classroom instruction.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

• Qualified candidates may be granted up to twentyyears of verified full-time teaching experience for credit on the salary schedule.
