Instructional Assistant III – Life Skills
The job of Instructional Assistant III – Life Skills was established for the purposes of providing support to the instructional program within an assigned setting, in either a special education or general education classroom, with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision and instruction of students with special needs (ranging from mild to severe), observing and documenting student(s') progress; implementing plans for instruction;
and assisting student(s) by providing behavioral assistance, including toileting and hygienic needs. This job posting will remain active through the indicated Final date to receive applications. / Qualifications
Current employees must submit a letter of interest to the Human Resources office, in order to be considered for the position. Paraprofessionals whose duties include instructional support must have:
High school diploma or the equivalent, and (a) Two years of college (48 units), or (b)
A.
A. degree (or higher), or (c) Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
