Maintains current certifications required to teach and completes any required continuing education courses to maintain active certification
Creates classes in the online training center and sends out pre-work to participants
Communicates class details via email to participants
Ensures participants have completed all pre-work and are eligible to attend the in-person portion of class
Takes attendance and maintains documentation of all class rosters, prerequisites, skills progress logs, and written exams
Ensures all class materials are in order prior to class
Communicates course material to participants in a clear and understandable manner and can adjust teaching style as needed to ensure participant comprehension
Teaches in accordance to the requirements and standards of the certifying body Provides constructive feedback to participants throughout the class time Administers written tests and observes skills in accordance to skills proficiency criteria set by the certifying body Reports and closes classes in online training center upon successful completion of all certification requirements
Participate and satisfactory completion of in-service trainings or staff meetings
Create an environment that is welcoming, nurturing, and inclusive for all members and guests
Able to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a staff team Ensure building, grounds, and equipment are in working order. Report any concerns
Support the annual campaign process including education of members

Must be at least 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or equivalent
Previous work-related experience preferred
Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance
Required certifications:
Instructor-level or instructor trainer-level certification for the course area that is being taught. Must crossover to the Y’s certifying body upon hire
