Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking an Upper School Spanish Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at a boarding school in Pebble Beach, CA.
Note: Boarding school positions may include on-campus housing and meals (room and board) depending on the role and school.

Spanish Teacher Responsibilities- Teach multiple Spanish courses each semester with assignments ranging from introductory through Advanced Placement (AP) levels.
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs and skill levels of individual students.
- Teach Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods.
- Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Spanish and improve pronunciation.
- Organize fun events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
- Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.
- Assist with residential life duties as needed, fostering a safe and supportive living environment for students as needed.
- Assist with supervising extracurricular activities and/or coaching school athletic teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
- 2-3 years of previous K-12 teaching experience.
- No teaching license or credential is required.
- Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community.
- Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.
- Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
- Ability to teach multiple languages preferred.
- Knowledge of T.P.R.S. and C.I. methods to foster language acquisition
