Responsibilities
  • Assist with Coordination of Designated After school Program Site: Assist the Site Lead in coordinating program activities, collecting and preparing data, maintaining a safe learning environment, setting up instructional materials, ensuring clean classrooms, training participants, communicating with students, parents, and outside agencies, monitoring student behavior, enforcing standards, and providing recommendations to improve the program. (Perform approximately 25% of the day)
  • Assist with Marketing Program: Develop a unique and marketable name for the site, design and provide marketing materials such as flyers and posters, implement incentive programs, disseminate enrollment applications, increase program enrollments within budget, maintain attendance records in CTFF software, and assist in monitoring student activities. (Perform approximately 10% of the day)
  • Monitor and Observe Classroom: Daily classroom visits to ensure active engagement, coach and mentor staff, provide feedback on lesson plans, assist with student placement, address behavioral issues, and support professional development. (Perform approximately 10% of the day)
  • Tutor, Monitor and Mentor Student Learning: Engage in general tutoring using CTFF guidelines, plan lessons, meet educational objectives, tutor individually and in groups, prepare reports, enforce behavior rules, observe student performance and health, and maintain a positive learning environment. (Perform approximately 50% of the day)
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Temporarily assume the duties of the Site Lead in their absence, attend staff development trainings, provide suggestions for program improvement, maintain a visible presence, and provide assistance as needed. (Perform approximately 5% of the day)
Qualifications &

Minimum Requirements
  • 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Completion of 48 college units or passage of an approved exam, if applicable, to meet No Child Left Behind requirements
  • Availability to work from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Proficiency in the English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition; ability to speak multiple languages is beneficial but not required
  • General understanding of educational standards and the public school system
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and TB examination
  • One year of prior management experience or 6 months as a Teaching Fellow
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of college education with emphasis in education
  • Strong commitment to serving local communities through mentoring, leading after‑school educational programs, and experience in youth development and community service
  • Understanding of the public school system and state educational standards
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of marketing and advertising
  • Proficiency in Google Suite products (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
