Youth Development Coordinator

Youth Development Coordinators independently administer youth development programs on Calaveras County school campuses. The purpose of these programs is to build leadership skills and student confidence, and reduce alcohol and drug use and abuse. Programs include Friday Night Live Leadership in high schools, Club Live in middle schools, Calaveras Youth Council, GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) Clubs, and Tobacco Use Prevention Education.

Job duties include planning and facilitating weekly meetings and activities on school campuses, recruiting youth participants, building supportive relationships with students, collecting and reporting data, coordinating special events and student campaigns, working with the California Friday Night Live Partnership, and administering an annual countywide student survey. The successful applicants will be highly motivated and energetic team players, have initiative, be self-directed, and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Bilingual ability a plus. All employment with the Calaveras County Office of Education is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements which includes but is not limited to fingerprinting and verification of negative tuberculosis.
