Amador County Public Schools Special Education Teacher

The Amador County Unified School District (ACUSD) allows year for year experience credit when placing employees on the salary schedule. Experience must be fulltime, contracted work and worked over 75% of each school year to qualify (substitute work does not qualify).

English Learner Compliance:
If you don't have an EL (English Learner Authorization) or CLAD (Cross cultural, Language & Academic Development) you will be required to apply for an emergency CLAD permit with the CTC as a condition of employment. During the first year of employment you will need to earn the English Learner Authorization or CLAD certificate by course work, exam or a combination of course work and exam.

The associated costs for the emergency permit and course work/exams will be at the employee's expense.

Autism Spectrum Disorder:
If you don't have an Autism Spectrum Disorders Authorization you will be required to apply for an emergency permit with the CTC as a condition of employment. During the first year of employment you will need to earn the Autism Spectrum Disorders Authorization by course work. The associated costs for the emergency permit and course work will be at the employee's expense.

Thank you for considering Amador County Public Schools. A few additional facts we would like you to know about our district: 1. All mild-moderate Special Education teachers work within the general education setting to support students with disabilities through push-in, pull-out, and co-teaching. 2. The District will pay for your two year induction program and provide you with a mentor. 3.

You will receive an annual $3,020 Special Education stipend with a CLEAR credential. The ACUSD allows year for year experience credit when placing employees on the salary schedule. Experience must be fulltime, contracted work and over 75% of each school year to qualify. Current clear TB Test and DOJ fingerprinting at Amador County Unified School District for the hired candidate will be required.
