The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) is a certificated, campus-based instructional leadership position responsible for supporting systemic improvement in teaching and learning. The TOSA works collaboratively with campus and district leadership to strengthen instructional practices, build teacher capacity, and improve student outcomes across core academic areas.
This role provides leadership in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), instructional coaching, data analysis, and the coordination of Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention supports.
Qualifications Education/ExperienceValid State Teaching Certificate in Texas.
Master's degree from accredited university (preferred)
Knowledge/SkillsDemonstrated expertise in effective instructional practices, assessment, and intervention strategies.
Strong data analysis skills, including experience with data systems and dashboard development.
Ability to facilitate adult learning and lead collaborative teams.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships while handling confidential information with discretion.
Experience3 years successful classroom teaching experience with demonstrated student academic growth.
