About the religious school:
The Kol Tikvah Religious School provides students ages 2 through 18 with a supportive, energetic learning environment committed to inclusive, connective, and empowering Jewish education. We believe in active engagement, hands-on participation, and innovative teaching tailored to diverse learning styles and needs. Our programming creates a sense of community and belonging for students and their families in their personal educational, religious, and spiritual Jewish journeys.

Job details:

  • START DATE:

    Sunday August 23rd at 8:45am
  • Be onsite to teach on Sunday mornings (8:45 - 11:45am) August 2026 - May 2027 with Jewish and national holidays off.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans based on the provided curricular outline.
  • Attend orientation, security training, quarterly staff meetings/ professional development, and two Religious School Shabbat services.
  • Prepare annual progress assessments for your students at the end of the year.

Job requirements:

  • You have a passion for Jewish education, love working with children, and have prior knowledge of (and a thirst to learn more about) Jewish tradition, rituals, holidays, and prayer!
  • You are an enthusiastic team player with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Experience leading a classroom for students in K-6th grade
  • Fingerprinted and CPR trained (or available for summer training).
