Librarian Adjunct

PC - Main Campus, Porterville, CA
Salary: $60.00 hourly (starting range $66.00/hour). Hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and LHE formula.
Job Type: Temporary – Adjuncts, part‑time, hourly faculty positions.
Primary Responsibilities- Work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in an environment that promotes innovation, teaching, learning, and service to a diverse student population.
- Work effectively with students who have a wide range of skills, motivations, and academic and vocational goals.
- Develop curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities.
- Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain subject‑matter currency.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Use computers and explore new technologies that would benefit the program.
- Commit to the California community‑college mission.
- Master's degree in library science, or library and information science; or equivalent.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community‑college students.
- Degrees and credits from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Degrees earned abroad must be evaluated by a recognized credential‑evaluation service.
