Temporary Contract School Counselor
Under the immediate supervision of the site administrator, or designee, the school counselor will be responsible to collaborate and contribute as a team member to the implementation of the District guidance and counseling programs. School counselors will promote student achievement and success by providing school programs that address academic, personal/social and career/college development for all students. This job reports to the Site Principal/Designee and Director of Student Support Services
Requirements / QualificationsMust possess or be eligible for a California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling Must possess a Master's degree from a state and/or nationally approved program. Valid California Driver's License
In order to be considered for this position, applicants are required to submit ALL of the following;
Letter of Intent Resume Copy of credential(s) Copy of transcripts Three letters of reference. Newly hired certificated employees will be given credit for up to seven (7) years of full-time credentialed public school experience, experience at an accredited college or university, or experience in an accredited private school, and full credit for approved college units. Additional Notes regarding salary placement: (1) An individual in an assignment requiring a Pupil Personnel Credential (Counselors) will receive an annual stipend of $ 2,682.
(2) District approved Master and Doctoral Degrees will receive a $2,374 stipend annually.
