The Bradford Area School District is accepting applications for Day-to-Day and Building Substitute Teachers.

• Bachelor's Degree in any major required.
• Valid PA Teaching Certificate(a college graduate who did not major in education may qualify for an emergency certificate and will be eligible for consideration if he/she qualifies.

• Successful candidates will also need to complete PDE requirementsalong with payroll and district-specific forms prior to employment.

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and District policies.
• Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher's existing lesson plans.
• Assists in other capacities that the building administrator determines as necessary.
• Arrive on time, remain for the full assignment, complete all required reports and records, and report student accidents/incidents to the office.
• Practice professional ethics in all relationships with pupils, parents, teachers, and other citizens of the community.
• Report to the regular teacher any pertinent information concerning procedures used and assignments made.
• Maintain confidentiality relative to all pupil records and information.

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Understands that customer service is a top priority in this position.
• Demonstrates the ability to react to stressful situations involving citizens, parents and/or staff in a calm, rational, and equitable manner.

• Previous substitute experience is not required!
• You do not have to be an expert in any one subject area. We have a place for you!
• You will have the ability to select the schools, assignments, and daysthat are best suited to your preferences, skillset, and schedule. The position provides a work schedule that allows for significant flexibility on a week to week, on-call basis, though regular availability is helpful.
• Create a network with teachers and administrators who can provide valuable advice and professional connections.

Monthly pay checks will be issued to substitute employees the 20th day of the month.
