Behavior Support Assistant
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, with guidance and oversight from designated certificated and administrative staff, the Behavior Support Assistant (BSA) provides direct behavioral support services to students whose behavioral, social-emotional, and/or developmental needs impact their educational performance. The BSA assists in implementing behavior intervention plans, collects and maintains behavioral data, and works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, school psychologists, special education staff, related service providers, and families to promote positive student behavior and safe, inclusive learning environments.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:20 AM-2:20 PM/8:30 AM-2:30 PM depending on school site(s) - 5.5 hours/day - 5 days/week (plus 30 minute unpaid lunch) Requirements:
Two (2) years of experience implementing behavioral interventions/supports for school-age children or adolescents (educational, behavioral health, mental health, ABA, special education, youth development, counseling, or related settings) Valid California Driver's License First Aid and CPR Certification
