About the Role

Our client is searching for a compassionate and skilled Special Needs Education Teacher to join their dedicated support team in Welkom. This role focuses on providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs, creating an inclusive and encouraging environment where every child can achieve their potential. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique challenges and strengths of each student.

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support using specialized teaching strategies and adaptive learning materials.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and support professionals to create a cohesive educational plan.
• Monitor and assess student progress, documenting achievements and areas requiring further attention.
• Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that fosters student engagement and confidence.

• Relevant qualification in Special Needs Education (e.g.,
  
  B.Ed. (Special Needs), Post-Grad Dip in SEN).
• Proven experience working with children with a range of disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD).
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies for special needs education.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
