About the Role

Our client is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Primary School Teacher for the Foundation Phase to join their welcoming school community in Welkom . This role focuses on establishing a strong educational foundation for young learners, creating a stimulating and supportive environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. You will be responsible for implementing a play-based and child-centered curriculum, fostering early literacy and numeracy skills, and nurturing a positive attitude towards learning.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Foundation Phase learners, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and life skills.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate assessments to track student development and provide feedback.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Integrate creative and play-based learning methodologies into daily instruction.

• National Diploma in Grade R Teaching or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with a Foundation Phase specialization.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in the Foundation Phase .
• Proficiency in early childhood development principles and methodologies.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective parent engagement.
