Special Education Resource Teacher – High School $45-$50/hour | San Lorenzo CA | Full-Time | School Year | CA Special Education licensure
High School Caseload: 26-28 Full-Time, 1.0 FTE Starting September 2026 for the entire school year Active SPED credential required
About the RoleProvide specialized instruction, develop and manage IEPs, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and help create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Teaching 4 periods working with students, 2 periods for prep/case management.

- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning
- Deliver research-based interventions based on individual student needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation and progress reports
- Coordinate annual, initial, and reevaluation IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Collect and analyze assessment data to guide instruction and eligibility decisions
- Foster a safe, equitable, and supportive learning environment
- Valid California Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Generalist license
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Minimum 1 year of classroom experience
- Flexible team player
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams & students
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
