Job OverviewAs a Controls Engineer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for various aerospace applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry. This position requires a strong background in control systems, proficiency in SIEMENS and Allen Bradley PLC programming, and experience with AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement control systems for aerospace applications using SIEMENS and Allen Bradley PLCs
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and operation manuals using AutoCAD
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to integrate control systems into complex aerospace projects
- Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure optimal performance of control systems
- Develop and execute test plans to validate control system functionality and compliance with industry standards
- Provide technical support for existing control systems and implement upgrades as needed
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and suppliers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in control system technologies and industry best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout all phases of projects
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Proficiency in programming SIEMENS and Allen Bradley PLCs
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for creating technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ether Net/IP)
- Familiarity with HMI development and SCADA systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Master's degree in Control Systems Engineering or a related field
- Experience with aerospace control systems and regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254)
- CE, UL, NEC, IEC 60204-1, NFPA 79, ISO 13849-1, IEC 6206
Education/
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the field of manufacturing automation or similar
- Preferred experience in SCADA systems/historians, OSI Pi historian, SQL server
