Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of quality assurance experience on aircraft.
- Minimum 3 years aircraft operations experience.
- Experience in reading and comprehending blueprints, engineering specifications, drawings, technical data, and planning documents.
- Experience in using various inspection measurement tools.
This position will be part of the Aircraft Maintenance Team supporting U-2 Avionics Technical Refresh (ATR) and Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) Operations at Beale Air Force Base, California. Tasks include inspecting aircraft for functional operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications, inspecting installation and operation of electrical, avionics, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems, and ensuring aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
Responsibilities also cover planning and conducting Process Compliance Surveillance Program (PCSP) audits, incident and mishap investigation audits, and preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.

Additional RequirementsMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Interim clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. Considered candidates must be capable of working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s) and weekends as dependent on customer needs.
Physical RequirementsThis position may include certain required health screenings and immunizations. The role may also require extended work hours and regular lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive movements, overhead work, use of hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, as well as frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting. Confined space entry may also be required.
DesiredSkills
- Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Previous U-2 experience.
- Experience with AS9100 Quality systems.
- Experience with DCMA 8210 Contractor’s Flight and Ground Operations.
- Knowledgeable of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention, Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
- Aircraft PDM experience.
- Experience in aircraft quality processes and procedures.
- Experience in aircraft crew escape systems (i.e., canopy and ejection seat).
