Role DescriptionThe Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Wadham Energy LP facility in Williams, CA. This role oversees daily plant operations, including monitoring power generation, ensuring equipment reliability, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximize uptime and efficiency. The Operations Manager leads and schedules operations staff, provides coaching and performance feedback, and promotes a strong safety culture in line with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include tracking key performance indicators, managing operating procedures, supporting outage planning, and collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and environmental teams. The role also involves reporting operational metrics, assisting with budgeting and resource planning, and implementing process improvements to enhance plant performance and compliance.
- Experience in power plant, industrial, or energy facility operations, preferably in biomass, renewable energy, or related generation environments.
- Strong leadership abilities, including team supervision, scheduling, coaching, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Knowledge of plant operations, process control systems, and equipment such as boilers, turbines, generators, or similar industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in operational planning, performance monitoring, and problem-solving, with the ability to respond quickly to operational issues.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and applicable industry standards for power or industrial facilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements, and to create or update standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, industrial management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Comfort working on-site in an industrial setting and availability for off-hours support, including nights, weekends, or on-call, as operational needs require.
