Location: Princeton
Embark on your engineering career as a Mine Engineer in Training at Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This role offers day shifts with a schedule of 4x3 or 7x7. The Mine Engineer in Training will collaborate with senior mine engineers to ensure secure operations through technical planning and analysis. Ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers aiming for P.Eng. designation, you’ll gain invaluable experience by working across various disciplines including Operations, Geology, and Surveying.
Key Responsibilities- Support engineering work and compliance with standards
- Provide mine design and planning support
- Assist in developing mine schedules and forecasts
- Collaborate with technical teams on business objectives
- Engage in training and mentoring towards P.Eng. designation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering
- Eligible for Engineer in Training registration with EGBC
- Up to 3 years of mining operations experience
- Foundational knowledge in open pit mining
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license
