Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a motivated professional to serve as a Technical Writer/Editor (level 2/3) to join our diverse team of professionals located in Palmdale, CA or Edwards AFB, CA.You will derive information from released technical source and/or may assist in the development of them with engineers and SMEs. Using the source materials, you are expected to interpret, formulate, affect data and will write, re-write and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly.

Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. you will identify and resolve moderate scope and complexity discrepancies within engineering drawings and blue prints that may impact data. Coordinate findings with team members and may refer findings to established precedents and policies to include consulting the engineering group and SMEs.

Will assist in the review of products with the customer and can advise its proper use.

* Basic Qualifications Level 2:

Bachelors degree and 2 years of military, aircraft maintenance, Product Manufacturing or technical writing experience;
Masters degree and 0 years of relevant experience. In lieu of formal education, 6 years of relevant military, aircraft maintenance, Product Manufacturing or technical writing experience.

Must have an active US Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

Bachelors degree and 5 years of military, aircraft maintenance, Product Manufacturing or technical writing experience;
Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of formal education, 9 years of relevant military, aircraft maintenance, Product Manufacturing or technical writing experience.

Must have an active US Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications Both Levels:
