About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance facility in Welkom . This role is fundamental to the structural integrity and safety of the aircraft fleet. You will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft airframes and associated structures, working with a variety of materials including composites, aluminum, and steel. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a hands-on capacity, contributing to the operational readiness of aircraft while adhering to strict aviation safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, utilizing visual inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods where applicable.
- Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft airframes, wings, fuselage, and control surfaces according to approved technical data and structural repair manuals.
- Fabricate and install structural components, ensuring precise fitting and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspection, repair, and modification work performed.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop and implement effective repair solutions.
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in working with various aircraft structural materials, including metals, composites, and plastics.
- Ability to interpret and apply structural repair manuals and engineering drawings.
- Experience with relevant tools and equipment for structural repair and fabrication.
