Special Events And Entertainment Coordinator
The Special Events and Entertainment Coordinator work closely with and report to the Entertainment Manager to support all aspects of events and entertainment including administration, production, and compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities- Manage multiple projects at one time.
- Multitasker and self-starter skills is a must
- Exercise competent computer skills including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Source and cultivate healthy relationships with vendors, as instructed.
- Work closely with Entertainment Manager to track and facilitate check processing of entertainers and vendors invoices.
- Write and submit STGC Notifications and Submissions to gaming compliance as necessary
- Write or revise all Entertainment contracts according to pre-approved templates, and prepare for final review by the Tribe's legal counsel.
- Monitor and track contract progress from initiation to final implementation and all steps in between to ensure contracts are on track.
- Source, organize, and request event equipment, and décor needs through designated Marketing practices
- Coordinate event preparation and set-up including but not limited to; floor plans, stage requirements, green rooms, rentals, and other accommodations.
- Prepare inter-company memos and communication materials detailing entertainment and special events
- Work in conjunction with all applicable departments, including but not limited to Facilities, Security, EVS, Hotel, Food & Beverage, Player Development, and Sales in preparation of, during, and after a special event or entertainment events
- Contribute and participate in creative meetings and planning sessions with applicable department Managers for special events and entertainment for Soboba Casino Resort and all of it connected bodies
- Problem solve and function well in high pressure situations
- Participate in all aspects of the event preparation, setup, breakdown, and overall needs of the department
- Be an active and positive member of the Marketing Team by assisting in all aspects of the department as needed with a team player mindset.
- Be able to lift, move, and handle minimum 50lbs. Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Live entertainment event experience, preferred.
- Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
