We are seeking experienced and professional Event Managers to join our seasonal team at Mountain Winery.

Position Summary

The Event Manager is responsible for leading on-site event operations before, during, and after catered events. This role oversees event setup, service execution, staff management, and breakdown while ensuring an exceptional guest and client experience.

This is a highly visible, client-facing leadership position that requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities
Event & Client Management
  • Oversee all aspects of event execution from setup through breakdown
  • Ensure events align with client expectations and company standards
  • Communicate professionally with clients, executives, and venue partners
  • Adapt quickly to last-minute event changes and requests
  • Coordinate with Event Producers and Sales Managers throughout events
Operational Leadership
  • Review Event Detail Sheets (EDS) and Event Timelines
  • Lead Front of House (FOH) staff meetings and service execution
  • Coordinate with Kitchen Managers, Bar Managers, and Equipment Managers
  • Troubleshoot operational issues during events
  • Ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Staff Supervision
  • Supervise and support on-site event staff
  • Assist with staff training and performance feedback
  • Monitor staff professionalism and service standards
  • Manage employee time sheets and staffing needs
Quality Control & Reporting
  • Complete post-event reports and documentation
  • Conduct final venue walkthroughs
  • Coordinate final inspections with venue management
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 2 years of Event Management experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to problem-solve in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in catering, hospitality, or events
  • Weekend availability required
Preferred
  • Catering or hospitality management experience
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Knowledge of catering and restaurant equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to move throughout event venues during service
  • Occasionally lift and carry items up to 25 pounds
