What You’ll Do:We are seeking a highly motivated Relationship Manager at a Vice President or Senior Vice President level to join our Venture Banking team on the East Coast, focused exclusively on the Southeast technology market. In this role, you will originate debt and banking relationships with venture‑backed companies while also helping deepen and retain key client relationships across the existing portfolio.
As a Relationship Manager, you will serve as a trusted financial partner to founders, executive teams, and venture capital investors—bringing market insight, a strong professional network, and a consultative approach to building lasting client relationships.
What Do You Need?- Strong network across the Southeast venture ecosystem and experience building trusted relationships with founders, CFOs, and venture capital firms.
- Commercial, business‑development mindset with the ability to independently source, structure, and close banking and debt opportunities with VC‑backed technology companies.
- Comfortable underwriting and advising high‑growth, often pre‑profitable businesses, and sound judgment around venture lending and credit solutions.
- Consultative, relationship‑first approach and eagerness to become a long‑term strategic partner to clients.
- For the VP level, typically 5–7 years of relevant venture banking or related experience; for the SVP level, 8–10 years.
Skills:
- Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn work with other Customers Bank applications.
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools that support productivity, workflow efficiency, and client engagement.
